Hello Room 401 Parents,
          
       Please ask your son or daughter about Chatters and Blabbers.
We began this public speaking program a few weeks ago.   Each week four students will share a prepared speech with the class.  Your child has been asked to practice this speech at home.  Students are required to talk for a minimum of two minutes to a maximum of three minutes.  Practice is a really great way for your child to feel prepared and hopefully a little less nervous.
        I hope all of you have a chance to check out the new Nixon Website.  This is another great way for me to communicate with the parents of my students.  Please let me know how you feel about this method of communication and share any suggestions you might have that will help me make this a great fifth grade year for you as well as for your child.
